School Council

The Springwell School Council plays an integral part in our school life.

Each class, from Reception through to Year 6 has a school council representative. They are chosen by a vote within their class. As the children progress through the school, they will give a speech to their classmates as to why they should be the school council representative.

All our representatives are great role models who demonstrate our school values daily. Each class is aware of their school councillor and knows that they can take ideas to them and that they will be shared and valued.

The Springwell Council meet with Mrs Holmes (Assistant Headteacher) every half term where they discuss school life and issues which are important to our children. The Year 6 children chair the meeting making sure everyone has an opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences.

Our school council also play an important role in the work we do with the wider community and charities. They are involved in the process of choosing what to do and who as a school we would like to support further.

We are very proud of our school council and the difference they are determined to make to our school and community.
